You have only the fqdn defined in dns, don't you? At least you create the dns
files for a domain.
Well, as a solution:
check /etc/resolv.conf: eg: search vpszk.bme.hu bme.hu
check /etc/hosts: 152.66.236.2 brian.vpszk.bme.hu brian
check /etc/host.conf: order hosts,bind
