This is one of the very very very few features of Windoze that I like.
With that middle button/wheel, on a Windoze box, you can use the
button/wheel as a middle button. You can also vertically scroll by
spinning the wheel.
But, in addition, with some text widgets, you can press the
button/wheel and then move the mouse slightly. At this point you can
completely let go of the mouse and the text will keep on scrolling.
The farther you move the mouse the faster the text moves in that
direction.
I've read whole documents in this manner. It can be very handy.
I don't have such a mouse on my Linux box, but if I did I think that
it'd be cool to hack X-based text widgets to handle this feature.
