No I don't.  I know nothing about RTF other than it exists, and all word 
processors seem to [im,ex]port it.

Agreed, which is why when I need something which needs formatting, I use LyX/
LaTeX.  LaTeX is incredibly portable, and backward compatible.  A good friend 
of mine has maintained his resume for more than 10 years in LaTeX, and it's 
been usable and editable on any unix system with any type of text editor :)

MS office users can't even say that!
