I second Bill's opinion. I think that the anouncements are a great help to
those of us who are busy and would otherwise forget. Besides, if Jerry kept
all of the info to himself, no one would show up to the meetings, the
community would flounder and die. The he would be stuck with a whole lot of
TurboLinux CD's and API Backpacks ;-) As for the general bandwidth consumed by
the list, there is quite a bit of traffic. I for one would like to see the
traffic continue and even grow. Sure, it takes a long to read my e-mail, but
time is a small price to pay for knowledge. High volume is a sure sign of a
healthy, growing, and hard-working community. Of course, it could just be that
there are a lot of loud-mouth smart-@$$'s like me out there ;-) As for the
comment of : " fine, otherwise, please unsubscribe me from your mailing list -
the volume has been too high.". Come on now.... Read the signature line of
EVERY e-mail on the list and do it yourself ;-)
Just my loud-mouthed opinion,
Kenny
