I use tcsh (interactive only, sh for scripts) and vim, and I have to
say they are pretty good cleanups and enhancements to Joy's extremely
powerful inventions. But please understand many of my best friends
are ksh/emacs users ;-)
I have considered switching from tcsh to bash as my interactive shell,
but when I login to some non-linux machine seems I'd have to revert to
ksh or sh which appears to be rather different from bash wrt the UI
(or for /bin/sh, near lack of a UI).
I have a friend who once worked with Steve Bourne and she said it
always looked amusing when she'd type "finger" and the shell field
would have "csh" for everyone except Steve with "sh".
