Got to see a panel discussion that included the lady that started Z
Corporation, the Burlington, MA company that makes 3D printers, using
technology licensed from MIT.  In fact, I have one of the models on my
computer right now.  They use standard ink-jet technology to spray a
solution into a powder mix, based on CAD files (standard CAD files).
It's not Pepsi, but their original matrix material was (I'm not
kidding) corn starch powder and sugar water binder.  You literally
could eat the models when you were done!
