Actually, my firewall system is up 24/7, connected to the net. However,
with the cost of electricity, and the heat that computers generate I
tend to leave my other computer turned off when I'm not using it.
Occasionally I want to get something off of it when I am away from
home ... but It's turned off!  So this provides the ideal way for me
to do it:  ssh to my firewall, run the "magic" wake_up script, go get
the stuff I need, and then halt it.
