I'd have to do some digging, but there have been issues with SAMBA and
W2K. Make certain you have the latest release (2.07). Beyond that, I
assume it's like mapping a SAMBA export to an NT workstation: you
have to configure the SAMBA machine in the workgroup, (workgroup =
<NTDOMAINNAME> in the smb.conf file), if you have a PDC, you want the
smb.conf to security=domain, to pass the authentication to the PDC.
To actually export the file, create a new share in smb.conf:
[example-share]
comment=example of sharing a linux directory
path = /home/share
That sets it up for visibility. Now, you just map it like you would
an NT share.
This all assumes that W2K works the same as NT, as I've not actually
used W2K.
