Quick followup - two books I recommend are:
- Using SAMBA, published by O'Reilly & Associates - this is the
official book of the SAMBA team, pretty good, but can be difficult in
places
- SAMBA Black Book, published by CoriolisOpen Press - this one has
lots more step by step examples to show you how to do the tasks.
