Just wanted to pass on the latest on AbiWord's ability to read word
documents: I've been using the latest (Preview Release 0.7.10) to
work with word documents. Haven't done any writing yet, so I don't
know how good that is, but it's reading every word document I've run
through it (although, so far no complex ones with OLE components, so I
haven't tried the libole2.so support).
It's also been very quick (quicker than SO or applix), with no crashes
so far.
Anyone interested, it's part of helix-code now, also available from
the source (www.abisource.com)

Thought for today: I BET WHAT HAPPENED was they discovered fire and invented the
wheel on
the same day. Then that night, they burned the wheel.
