A cheap hack I do is to symlink the cookie file to /dev/null.
This way a cookie will last at most one Netscape session, but not
persist "forever". Given that netscape currently crashes or needs to be
restarted every few days or so this defeats the longevity of a cookie.
I feel a short-lived cookie is appropriate since HTTP is basically
stateless. (ideally I'd have a cookie just a 1-24 hours, but the few days
days between netscape restarts I guess I can live with).
Use junkbusters for more serious screening.
