Yeah, Sendmail on my home system barfed, I resent it again before I realized it
was my problem and not my ISP's :)

Just fine. I've been using procmail with mh for years. The only difference
is rather than a rule like:

        :0 H
        * ^From:.*foo
        * ^Subject:.*foobar
        Mail/folder_name

You have something more like:

        :0 H
        * ^From:.*foo
        * ^Subject:.*foobar
        |rcvstore +Mail/folder_name

>2. Are there tools to convert BSD mailfiles to mh?

Yes, there's something built into mh called 'inc' which will suck all e-mail
out of a folder like /var/spool/mail/username and throw it into an mh folder,
but if you use procmail, you don't need to do that.
