Okay, that sounds like a plan. I'll check the archives again, now that I
have something to look for. (Previous searches just yielded lots of flamewars
about the algorithms to use and where in the system they should run. I just
don't want to commit the crime of perpetuating flame topics, on LKML least of
all.)

That might be useful, too. But mainly, I'm looking for the warning aspect
of it. I can and do take steps to prevent memory exhaustion. Just on
occasion, I lose track of how much memory Netscape has leaked away. ;-)

I tried browsing Freshmeat, but didn't find anything. (Their search
facility sucks, too, which doesn't help.)
