my modem (a USR Sportster Internal ISA) has stopped working in *nix. heres
the catch....i installed Redhat 6.0 and can get online fine and everything
works...
I got tired of Redhat and decided to try fBSD 4.0....Once again i tried to
access my modem....no luck......so......
i installed mandrake 7.1..its great....except for one thing...once again my
modem won't work!!!!! then it hit me...
somewhere after redhat 6.0 they changed the modem ports...from /dev/cua0 to
/dev/ttys0...so i tried ttys2...to no avail.....
whats going on????? how can i get my mandrake system to access my modem
under /dev/cua2 the way it was when it worked????i'm getting
frustrated.......can anyone offer any help?
