Good advice under RedHat, but I suspect it won't work on Debian, since
they don't use RedHat's print filter package. You might be able to get
away with simply installing the RH package with alien, but then again, you
might not...

The HP laserjets we use do this in software... there's no dip switch but
there is a config option, I believe under "Paper Handling Menu" or
something like that.
Paul, I believe the hp's come with this set to DOS-like EOL characters by
default, but where everyone prints through a Linux-based printer (whether
they know it or not) it might be worthwhile to change all of them to
Unix-like EOL characters. You may want to experiment...
