This is my /root/.fetchmailrc. I run fetchmail as a daemon
# Configuration created Sun Aug 22 13:05:28 1999 by fetchmailconf
set postmaster "postmaster"
poll pop.ne.mediaone.net with proto POP3 user XXX is YYY pass MyPass
Where XXX is my user on my home system, YYY is my mediaone user id, and
MyPass is my password.
Here is my /sbin/init.d/fetchmail script:
fetchmail:# /sbin/init.d/fetchmail
fetchmail:# please edit /root/.fetchmailrc
fetchmail: echo "Starting fetchmail-daemon"
fetchmail: /usr/bin/fetchmail -d 180 -a -L /var/log/fetchmail -f
/root/.fetchmailrc
fetchmail: echo -n "Shutting down fetchmail-daemon"
fetchmail: /usr/bin/fetchmail -quit
