Today, Jeffry Smith gleaned this insight:

> 1. What _I_ would like to hear:

> Kernel internals / hacking

Me too, though I'm not really sure what form I'd like this discussion to
take. I don't know enough about hacking the kernel to know I guess. The
good news is I know of a place that has a whole bunch of kernel hackers
all under one roof! ;-)

> Businesses using linux - why, experience, what they look for

I'm definitely interested in hearing about this one too, especially
concerning Linux on the desktop. If we could find some speakers who are
prepared to talk about how to be a 100% Linux shop (especially how
to convince sales and marketing types that they DON'T need MS-Office), I'd
really like to see them.

> Wine

Here too, especially how to make real applications work under WINE. I've
had some success with some things, but it seems to require a bit of arcane
prestidigitation with a dash of luck to get most things to work. I've
heard tell of many apps (mostly games) that I'm interested in running on
Linux running under WINE, only to fail utterly myself.

It's already where I am, cuz I'm already there...
