I don't think this does what you want.  From the pppd man page:

         ms-dns <addr>
              If pppd is acting as a server for Microsoft Windows
              clients, this option allows pppd to supply  one  or
              two  DNS  (Domain  Name  Server)  addresses  to the
              clients.  The first instance of this option  speci�
              fies  the  primary DNS address; the second instance
              (if given) specifies  the  secondary  DNS  address.
              (This  option was present in some older versions of
              pppd under the name dns-addr.)

This seems to imply that pppd will *supply* DNS server entries to MS clients 
connecting to it, not obtain DNS server entries from remote side for your 
client, which would be the case if a Linux box were connecting to an ISP.
