Yes -- the default for some versions of Outlook (to my utter disbelief) is RTF -- Rich Text Format, a way to do enhanced text, somewhat akin to HTML. And, well, the only mail tool on the planet of which I'm aware that plays well with RTF is Outlook. So: e-mail the person who sent you the Outlook e-mail you can't read, and tell them to switch their default to HTML (if need be), or, by strong preference, plain ol' text. As long as (s)he sends out e-mail with RTF as the default format, nobody except other Outlook users will be able to read it; everyone else will see it look like some funky attachment that they can't open. -Ken On Fri, 15 Dec 2000, Bayard Coolidge USG ZKO3-3/S20 wrote: > > Kurth Bemis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> said: > > >>> whenever anyone sends me mail from outlook express pine > >>> doesn't display the message.
