Sendmail vs. qmail. (vs. exim, say some)

What about postfix?

I'm a longtime sendmail admin. Mostly I'm happy with it. I've
practically memorized the 1046 pages of the Bat book. I'm switching to
postfix though.

I find it faster than sendmail. It's purportedly more secure. It's
definitely more securable and lighter weight. It's command line
compatible with sendmail - nice for my scripts - though you do lose the
sendmail.cf file and the R$#!#$#@ stuff (oh well :-). I find it easier
to admin. I never found qmail intuitive, but I find postfix
straightforward.

Postfix was written by Wietse Venema of TCP Wrapper, Satan and other
fame. IBM supports development on it.
