Perhaps left unattended, running nothing but a screensaver?
or, could it be counting time between BSODs or reboots? if so, a power-save
hibernation for six hours could be the answer.
see, there are many ways M$ Windoze could stay "up" for six hours or more...
of course, if you mean "doing useful work" there's still the fundamental unanswered
question of how much of that is ever done on Windoze PCs!
