In most cases, these vendor guarantees are on the hardware only. The OS --
that is, Windoze -- is not included. Microsoft itself makes absolutely zero
guarantees as to how Windoze will perform.
On a related note, this month's Linux Journal made mention of Netcraft
statistics W.R.T. uptime of their own websites, running their own software.
VA Linux came in fourth. Sun came in ninth. Microsoft came in 25th. You do
the math. :-)
