I don't read this as "the end of xDSL", but I do read it as the end of the
"little guy" buying some xDSL capacity from "the big guy", then re-selling
it.  I think "the big guy" is going to sell it directly, just like they sold
telephone service for so many years.

"Baby Bell", yeah...a 2 Billion pound baby gorilla, maybe.

You have the finest wire in the world between you and the central office, but
if that office is five miles away, forget it.

The concept (mentioned in your article) of Baby Bell stalling to install new
equipment until the smaller companies dry up....I don't know ANY company that
would do that, do you?
