Ray,

This training is geared toward professional system/network/sendmail
administrators who need to manage very large and very complex mail
environments. It is not geared towards Linux hobbyists or enthusiasts
who use Linux.

The price of $2000 is actually cheap when you consider:
        A) what you get for that price
        B) the fact that it's cheaper than what this
           consulting company normally charges
        C) other comparable training courses cost significantly more
        D) you don't have to travel some place and deal with airlines
           and hotel reservations.

As far as the LUG meetings are concerned, I'm not sure which meeting you went
to where no one showed up, so I can't address that specific issue. We are
planning an entire meeting on the comparisson of MTAs for the March meeting in
Nashua, so if this is something you're interested in, then I invite you to
attend. Why haven't we done any in-depth training at LUG meetings on sendmail?
Probably because no one in the LUG knows it well enough to provide such
training.

As an aside, I am insulted at the tone of your response. I
personally went to my management and asked them to allow me to extend an
invitation to this training to the Linux community so that they could
benefit as well. The fact that you find this price unacceptable or
exorbitant is well within your right, but please don't flame someone for
extending an offer of kindness. I didn't need to extend this invitation
and if this is the reaction I'm going to get for trying to be
nice to those I've considered friends and colleagues for well over
7 years now, then I just won't bother any more.

Thanks,

Seeya,
Paul

It may look like I'm just sitting here doing nothing,
but I'm really actively waiting for all my problems to go away.

If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!
