Hmmm - we've actually had quite good luck from our Compaq 3500 servers.

We have two dual PIII's and one dual PII, each with a crapload of RAM
and RAID 5.  They've been taking a beating since they were installed -
197 days and counting without a single glitch.

As there's a possibility we may be looking to get a real beast of a
server sometime soon (we're looking at probably going quad PIII) I'd be
real interested to hear what people have to say about individual
hardware vendors and how well linux plays with them...
