Lest we forget the J2EE platform which is adequately supported by
Apache/Tomcat and Enhydra Enterprise.

I can't help out there.  Honestly, if we're going to get into PHP vs
perl for web war, I'm not going to be able to defend PHP very easily. 
The only thing it has going over perl is that you don't have to be a
sadomasachist to understand the syntax.  ;)
