What is happening is that the destination mail server is trying to do a
reverse lookup on your system. There are two ways that this can be
solved (well, I'm sure that there are more then just two). One way to
solve the problem is to just use your ISP's SMTP server for mail. That
would be the easy thing to do. The second thing that you could do is to
use envelope re-writing so that all out going e-mail claims to be coming
from a resolvible domain. However, you will need a domain for this to
work (or you could just forge all of your e-mail, but that would be
bad).
