Yeah ditto...  I already own a SB Live (EMU10k1) but it does NOT do
MIDI.  Er, that is, it will do MIDI to the external MIDI, but not the
on-board sequencer.  And unless they've made recent changes to the
driver, you need the ALSA drivers to even do that.

This is the problem that I'm specifically trying to work around.  I
want my on-board MIDI!!!  (I should mention that it's been around 4+
months since I tried to get MIDI working on this card.)
