Security plays a factor too, since 2.4 is largely unproven in that arena,
but that is actually a secondary concern for me.
The main fear I have of 2.4 comes from the virtual memory manager (or
"VM", as the kernel hackers call it). It has some serious issues,
especially with regards to disk swapping. From what I've been reading, it
is something you can live with on a workstation, but I wouldn't want to
trust a mission critical system to it.
