Hi Rich,
That URL comes up as crud on my browser? (Opera).
BTW my current rant. Why did Dell stop selling desktops with "no operating
system" as an option?
Dell cries linux support but its bull. If you want a desktop you have to
buy windows, how the hell does it cost them more money to not install
Windows? Sure you can get linux if you spend 3 grand on a server but don't
try to buy a desktop for 900 bucks unless you give them an extra 100 to
have Windows installed.
I can understand that selling linux desktop means they have to pay support
staff, So How much does it cost again to handle the "no operating system"
desktop support?
I asked this to a Dell rep and got the "Well microsoft & Dell are really
tight" story, ya ok I get it...
Anyway send a complaint to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I did this two weeks ago
and got a 10 minute explanation on my message service from a sales rep
about how linux desktop sales were too low to support it. (Support what?
Hello? How much does it cost to support an blank disk again??" sigh...)
Some new idea's for the Dell excuse line:
A little Microsoft fairy waves his wand at the machine during production
and windows gets installed and there is nothing Dell can do.
Order it with windows (like you have a choice) and send us back the windows
cd pack and get a your money back. (It's not like anyone would use the
pre-installed windows OS(sick) because microsoft would know if we tried.
