Sorry, I should have mentioned that the joke is Flash-based (*.swf is a
shockwave flash web page.)

Microsoft strongarms OEMs into supplying Windows with every system. The jist
of it is this:

"If you sell a 'bare drive' system and someone puts a pirated copy of a
Microsoft operating system on it, we COULD come after YOU!!"

Of course such action would never stand up in court, especially if the sale
were made with the appropriate legal disclaimers, but a small or medium
sized OEM could be bankrupted winning that case...

That's why I build ALL my systems. You can buy perfectly good blank disks on
line, without the mechanical wear incurred by installing and removing a
Microsoft OS.
