I've just done a fresh install of Red Hat 7.1 on a Compaq AP400 (dual
processor intel). I choose gnome and custom. I installed all of the RPMS.
The installation went off without a hitch.
However, when I rebooted there was a long pause, the screen went blank and
nothing happened. I got the same behavior when I tried the boot disk. At
wits end, I did a cold boot. Oddly enough everything worked fine.
What gives? Why does it work with a cold boot, but not a warm boot? Any
ideas what I've done wrong here?
