Does the problem still happen? That is, now that you have successfully
booted the installed system, if you do a warm reboot, does it behave as
expected?
It is not uncommon for hardware to get into an unexpected state, or even
completely lockup, under the right (or wrong) circumstances. A warm reboot
will not clear that condition, so when the system (BIOS, Linux kernel,
whatever) tries to initialize said hardware, Bad Things Happen. Doing a
full power cycle, on the other hand, will clear any such transient
condition.
End result being: Unless it seriously grieves you, I would not worry about
it.
