I'm running RH 7.1 with the default Apache (1.3.19). It was working last week, then the power failed. Now it won't work. The only thing I know I've done is to modify the /etc/sysconfig/network file to reflect the machine name, that fixed a problem with Samba. When I start the service it just says FAILED. There is nothing in the error logs.
Probably unrelated. When I do a "man httpd" it points to the wrong location for the log files. They're actually in /var/log/httpd. I couldn't see any way to start the httpd in verbose mode. Any suggestions? Any suggestions on how/where to get more information on the error?
