A random thought on providing systems to schools and advancing Linux: If the amount which a corporation gets as a charitable deduction, for donating its old hardware to a school, is based on the value of the donation; then the linux community should be able to help out both the donors and the schools by adding the time and free software necessary to assemble the hardware into a system with a high current market value.
It's certainly good community service. It might also result in valuable publicity and corporate support. And it might result in business for those involved in installing and servicing open source systems. ***************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the text 'unsubscribe gnhlug' in the message body. *****************************************************************
