If you're talking about a standard Passive Backplane
system as defined by the PICMG, I'd say there's
not much chance of accidentally ending up with one,
simply because they are (or were, last time I checked)
so freaking expensive that you'll read their product
description very thoroughly wondering what the hell
they could be trying to charge you so much for...
