I've used PCI Cards into which you plug PCMCIA cards under Linux. They've worked fine, just appearing as PCMCIA. Never encountered the parallel port version under any OS. > My next question is a little more > confusing. The question is, is it a SCSI Jazz drive, > or a Parallell drive now? It would be SCSI. If (emphasis on the 'IF') you could get the parallel PCMCIA stuff to work, it would just make the SCSI PCMCIA card appear as a PCMCIA card. In any event, a (ISA or PCI)/PCMCIA adapter may be the simpler solution. I know it works. Plus there are a lot fewer issues with it than trying to force parallel to do extra duty. You can get a PCI/PCMCIA adapter from various places. Here's one which supports Linux (though I have not used it myself - quick search on google): http://www.pccard.co.uk/support/plinux.html
