Ok, I had to do a MAKEDEV to get the sg[0-7] devices created, and I did
a `MAKEDEV st[0-9]` to recreate the st* devices. Everything is compiled
directly into the kernel, so there are no good module messages. All I
have is the boot info from dmesg, and it's not really helpful:

SCSI subsystem driver Revision: 1.00
request_module[scsi_hostadapter]: Root fs not mounted
request_module[scsi_hostadapter]: Root fs not mounted

and further down is:

(scsi0) <Adaptec AHA-294X Ultra SCSI host adapter> found at PCI 0/16/0
(scsi0) Wide Channel, SCSI ID=0, 16/255 SCBs
(scsi0) Cables present (Int-50 YES, Int-68 NO, Ext-68 NO)
(scsi0) Downloading sequencer code... 422 instructions downloaded
scsi0 : Adaptec AHA274x/284x/294x (EISA/VLB/PCI-Fast SCSI) 5.2.1/5.2.0
       <Adaptec AHA-294X Ultra SCSI host adapter>
(scsi0:0:6:0) Synchronous at 6.67 Mbyte/sec, offset 15.
  Vendor: ARCHIVE Model: Python 00095-001 Rev: 5.45
  Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02

Everything looks right, but I can't manipulate the drive.

C-Ya,
Kenny
