SLUG meetings are held at 7pm, the 2nd monday of every month, in Morse
hall rm 301. Directions can be found at the following URL:

----- THIS MONTHS MEETING -----
The meeting topic for Monday 1/14 will be using Digital Cameras under
Linux.
We will be demoing techniques and tools under linux to pull pictures
off of digital film and manipulate the images.
There will be at least three seperate cameras demoed: Fuji FinePix
2800z, Nikon Coolpix 880, and a Canon A20. The small USB digital film
readers (like floppy drives) will also be demoed.
If you have a Digital Camera other than the ones listed above feel
free to bring it and the cables needed for connection to a computer.
If you know it works it might help out somebody who doesn't know, if
you've never tried it under linux you might be pleasently surprised!
