At some point hitherto, Rich Cloutier hath spake thusly: > > http://www.google.com/search?q=Linux+LAT&btnG=Google+Search > > http://linux-decnet.sourceforge.net/lat.html > > > > Why is it no one searches Google anymore? Too many hits? Too hard > > to spell? Not enough glitz like Yahoo or Alta Vista? I don't get it. > > What *I* don't get is how someone can do a search on google and come back > with a few web pages with all the keywords on it and assume that they've > found the holy grail. Using Paul's search, I was indirectly led here: http://www.pericom-usa.com/framesets/txover.htm I had to LOOK, but I did find the info. The link that led me here was the sixth link on the first page. That said, I don't agree with Paul's approach to his response (though I'm sure I've been guilty of doing the same in the past). It's helpful to remember that asking these kinds of questions is precisely why this mailing list exists. It's often much faster and easier to ask a large group of people who might KNOW the answer, off the top of their head, than to spend hours researching it yourself. And that's a good thing. - -- Derek Martin [EMAIL PROTECTED] - --------------------------------------------- I prefer mail encrypted with PGP/GPG!
