  Indeed.  And why should they?  Most people see computers as a tool.  They
want to know only as much as is needed to accomplish their goal.  This is
the way most people view most things, and is not an unreasonable position to
take.  They really don't care if their computer runs MS-Windows or Linux, so
long as they can get their job done.

  And that is the key point.  They do not care *either way*.  They use
MS-Windows and MS-Office because that is what their computer came with.  If
they were provided with a computer running Linux and StarOffice, they would
be just as happy.  I know -- I've seen it done.
