You can run Gnome tools, plain and simple.  As long as you have the
gnome libs installed, there's no effort involved -- just run them.
And in this case, you're probably well off with gnome, since gnumeric
is feature-for-feature compatible with Microsoft Excel (or so I'm
told, I don't use the stuff).
