I know there are plenty of plugins for kivio, all commercial from what I've seen. I'd even be willing to pay for them if they had what I wanted. The nice thing about Visio was that they had vendor specific icons. I could place a Cisco 6500 on the diagram and then outfit it with the specific modules I had in it. Then I could connect specific things like a Sun E4500, a NetApp, an Auspex, an HP K-series, etc. Generic shapes will work, but they're not that impressive. Mgmt likes to see pretty pictures. I'm all for functionality over form, but when form helps get you what you want... :) It appears there's nothing with the appropriate amount of mgmt - -appealing eye candy out there for Linux yet :( - -- Seeya, Paul -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Exmh version 2.2 06/23/2000 (debian 2.2-1) iD8DBQE8tvnnuweSOVPxKO4RAriDAJ917j/FEAJKpwEa6OMgNDWGW0KG6QCfbf3+ ry8W4YBC9wJzaB95HQX4cAk= =Sq5w -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ***************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the text 'unsubscribe gnhlug' in the message body. *****************************************************************
