I have been studying this for the past few days after I discovered it on the web:
http://www.uwsg.iu.edu/edcert/index_long.html It seems to be a very good basic intro to UNIX/Unix/Linux/*BSD and just about any other Ken-Thompson-derived OS out there. Of course you can't "take" the course on line, as in get credit or certification, but all the course material is there. It seems to be pretty good for newbies like myself who have been toying with Linux for years, but never really went through all the in-depth underpinnings of the OS. My apologies if this is common knowledge to everyone but me.
