Yep, ipchains was the culprit! Thanks

Hmmm, firewall maybe? I know that 7.1 would start an ipchains ruleset even if you said "No Firewall" during the install. I thought that had been fixed. And now for the obligitory security nag: use SSH with X forwarding instead. What you're doing is turning access control off, allowing ANYONE to run an X client on your server. There is a much better way of handling X access, and SSH does it automagically. Of course, if SSH isn't installed on the remote machine this might not be an option. - -- -Matt Only adults have difficulty with childproof caps. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE85SQDc8/WFSz+GKMRAsCiAJsHnf67b+mfLlUJFr3dBCt0OaRlnACfaND+ bjBmRbx2PrGJRTTURA7xrvY= =7wgq -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ***************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the text 'unsubscribe gnhlug' in the message body. ***************************************************************** ***************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the text 'unsubscribe gnhlug' in the message body. *****************************************************************
