Hi Natan,

I felt it would be convenient to not have to load a browser to do things
I want to have access to all the time.

I think that putting stuff online is such a common task for everyone now
that I ask myself why shouldn't these features be accessible from
widgets/panel applets/the shell?

One example of something already existing along these lines is updating
my IM status from the Ubuntu panel.

To be honest, I really couldn't be bothered blogging if it isn't easy
and accessible in as few clicks as possible... I want the desktop to
give me access to the cloud.

Am I lazy, or typical?

Hi Shane,
You already can post to your blog, update your bookmarks, and keep track
of RSS feeds from your desktop using Epiphany or Firefox. :)
(I know that's probably not what you meant, but if something isn't
broken then don't fix it.)

What type of further integration would you like to see and why would it
be better than just using a browser?

Hi all,

In my current Gnome enviro I would like to be able to post to my blog,
update my delicious.com bookmarks, and keep track of RSS feeds.

The notion I'm proposing is that the shell becomes the access point to
these external services.

Is there error in my view?
