Right. And wrong. There are so many papers written about colours and colour-mood association that there shouldn't be any problems in showing the effects. For example start here (chosen randomly): http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.84.2852&rep=rep1&type=pdf and follow the references. Sure - some people will prefer it black, some white and some pink. But neither of them is a "safe choice" and there exists a typical colour-mood correlation in a big enough group. If GS is designed for everyone, then it should be as safe as possible by default and can do whatever crazy things are possible via customisation. > Black is a lot easier on the > eyes when combined to with lighter text, and that's a proven fact. And so are other colours in right combinations. Also white on black is not easier than white on grey, or grey on black on an usual screen, so it's kind of hard to talk about black + something undefined. I agree about the second point of the main post of course. _______________________________________________ gnome-shell-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-shell-list
