I am skeptical that it will ever get to the breadth and depth of Compiz, but
it would be awesome if it did. My guess is that the answers would be: not
anytime soon and through the extension system. Maybe I'm
just pessimistic though. I am not a dev so don't take my words as truth.


And my other question is are there any designs made up that with accepted

If you are using a recent build of the Shell then you will notice that
rudimentary support for the AppMenu has already been implemented (you can
close the app though the title in the panel)
