I know that eventually there will be automatic window resizing implemented
in the Shell, a la Windows Aero Snap, and that is good, but I would like to
see even more from this feature. Something along the lines of SizeUp or if
we want to be really cool, Divvy.

Screencast of SizeUp in action here:

With this kind of functionality, the Shell could act like a tiling window
manager for those that want to set it up to be so!

I'm not saying to copy how these application do their work, they are just
real world examples of what it would look like. I think we could come up
with our own powerful/useful implementation.

The higher level functions, like quadrants and the even smaller pieces of
Divvy, could/would be hidden/not setup in the default configuration because
honestly, "normal" (I use the term hesitantly) users probably will only care
to see two windows side by side. But these higher level functions should be
included in the default configuration because if we are going to implement a
split view (each window takes up half the screen) why not go just a bit
further and allow splitting of the split windows (quadrants)? Would that not
be the same code simply acting on a smaller allocation of screen space?
