Obviously this is going to fail again if the configured windowmanager is gnome-shell itself :-( Maybe it would be an option to launch mutter stand-alone in this case - not sure how much effort that would be, I haven't looked at that part of the code. No promises on the subject, but I think it is worth filing a bug report. --Florian
